Kaelene Tomasulo LMHC

Kaelene is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York. She works primarily with millennials and college students who are looking for support through transitions. These transitions involve moving, beginning/ending relationships, and making career or lifestyle changes. Kaelene helps these clients accept themselves for who they are while increasing their self-esteem and self-love. Life transitions, even positive ones, can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, confused, and lost.

She also assists those wanting to explore their substance usage or behavioral patterns. She has particular expertise in helping her client to examine their substance use patterns and the role that substances play in their lifestyle. Her clients learn to identify triggers and stressors that may be contributing to their substance use, as well as any underlying emotional or psychological factors that may be driving their behavior.

Kaelene incorporates several evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviews, and Mindfulness Practices.

Your work with Kaelene will help you navigate difficult emotions and feelings while learning to recognize and change negative thought patterns. You will gain the ability to feel comfortable and confident with yourself, increase your ability to cope with your stressors and improve your relationships with others. This process will happen in a safe, judgment-free space. Life transitions do not need to be overwhelming. Having the right support can make this a time of self-growth and personal betterment.
